“Looking Back” – Nick Garin, FUSIT Member

Nick and Gayle Garin moved to Trumansburg about two years ago and became members of FUSIT. Born on a Navajo reservation and raised in the segregated South, Nick will trace his literal and spiritual journey to NYU Law School, his subsequent work in legal services for the NYC poor, and finally his work as a public advocate (consumer law attorney) with the NY Attorney General’s office. Nick and Gayle raised their three sons in Poughkeepsie and were members of the Poughkeepsie Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for 42 years. We look forward to hearing about their work fighting against immoral wars, poverty, injustice, and climate change. And it will be interesting to hear about their long-time membership in the Poughkeepsie UU congregation. The program will include an opportunity for questions and discussion.
