UU Common Read for Social Justice

UU Common Read For Social Justice will meet virtually. We will be discussing, “ON FIRE: The (Burning) Case for a GREEN NEW DEAL”, by Naomi Klein. Klein was the 2020 Ware Lecturer at GA (General Assembly). There are several copies available at the Tompkins County Public Library and one copy in the FUSIT library.

Naomi Klein is an award winning journalist, a professor of Media, Culture, and Feminist Studies at Rutgers University. She is co-founder of the climate justice organization, The Leap. For more than 20 years she has been the foremost chronicler of the economic war waged on both people and the planet.

All are welcome to attend to learn more about the impact of climate change that is finally being seriously addressed by Congress. Greta Thunberg, climate activist says, “Naomi Klein’s work has always moved and guided me…”.
