Sunday, February 11 at noon in the Sanctuary
The Social Justice Coffee Circle is a monthly informal conversational gathering hosted by the FUSIT Social Justice Leadership Team (SJLT). These gatherings will allow our congregation to connect more deeply with different community organizations and learn about the dynamic and inspirational work and ideas in creating Social Justice opportunities here in our Ithaca community.
In February, Meryl Phipps from The Village at Ithaca and members of the tutoring program will join us to share information about the tutoring program, plans for the future, and how members of our FUSIT community can get involved.
Each month will feature a rolling list of topics and concerns. Since the goal is to get to know others in the community better, we envision this as a ‘social’ time, rather than a ‘lecture’ format.
Starting in March, these gathering will be held on the second Sunday of each month in the Annex and will include coffee and snacks. For February, please remember that no food or drink is allowed in the sanctuary.
