Ithaca Sanctuary Alliance is sponsoring a fundraising dinner at First Congregational Church of Ithaca on to support a family of four from Peru who are residing in an apartment there while awaiting their asylum hearing. They are receiving help from area congregations and from FUSIT members. Please join us for a delicious dinner with two Peruvian soups (one a vegan option), bread, and arroz con leche for dessert. The dinner will be followed by a program of music, a reflection on the challenges current U.S. immigration policy poses for migrants by Cornell Law professor Jaclyn Kelley-Widmer, poetry, and testimonials from sanctuary guests. There will be an at-will donation during the program. To help with head count, please rsvp to fccisanctuary@gmail.com.
