SUMMARY:Congregational Conversation
DESCRIPTION:The Board of Trustees is holding a Congregational Conversation 
 on Thursday September 29 at 7:00 pm via Zoom. \nContact office@uuithaca.o
 rg for the Zoom link.\n\nThe purpose of the conversation is to explain in 
 more detail the adapted leadership and governance structure for the coming
  year at FUSIT.  We will be operating without a settled or interim minis
 ter in the traditional sense of the word.  We do have a Congregational Li
 fe team composed of Ms. Emily Richards\, Rev. Peaches Gillette\, and Rev. 
 Janet Shortall. We are excited to have this talented team. If you haven't 
 seen them in action yet check out our in-person Sunday celebrations or You
 Tube recordings. \n\nThe Board has created an Operations Administrative 
 Team (OAT) and a Ministry Visioning Team to handle administrative duties
  and program guidance that a full-time minister has handled in the past. 
 OAT and MVT will remain sharing governance responsibilities with the Boar
 d should a minister be hired in the future. The Board's hope is that this 
 new adapted governance concept will provide resiliency for our programs a
 nd operations during time of minister transition\, times without a ministe
 r\, and serve as support for a minister when one is called.\n\nPlease plan
  to join us on September 29 at 7 pm. Representatives from the Board\, MVT\
 , OAT and staff will be present to take your questions and receive your fe
 edback.
