Join our past president of the board, Don Barber as he presents the first of Netflix’s four-part series “Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones” by Dan Buettner to learn and discuss why certain communities around the world have such long and satisfying lives. It turns out the things that help us live longer are the things that make life worth living. A plant-based diet, natural exercise, having purpose and a sense of belonging, and one’s pace of life are a few of the big “secrets.” Perhaps they are obviously known, but how do these communities actually do them? And could our UU community learn from these remarkable centenarians?
PLEASE NOTE. Based on recent survey results, Adult Religious Exploration (ARE) programs are now scheduled for noon in the Annex after the close of the Sunday services. This offers enough time in the parlor to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, a snack, and a bit of socializing before heading up to the annex for continued friendly learning and discussion. All are welcome.
