Join Marie McRae after the service at noon in the annex for a conversation about reducing plastic use in our households. Plastics come directly from fossil fuels. Plastic never goes away. It does not bio-degrade. It does break down into smaller bits, but it never goes away. Let’s look at how to buy less of it and bring less of it home. Marie will present some good ideas and some alternatives, but she also wants to hear your stories and ideas. Together we can come up with a good list.

A lifelong conservationist, Marie was converted to being an energy activist by the fossil fuel industry’s fracking campaign here in 2007/8. From anti-fracking to promoting solar energy was the next step, and Marie has been working/keeping up on energy issues ever since. She believes that every single effort each one of us makes to reduce fossil fuel use is a positive step.
