Stewardship Campaign Fair Share Giving Guide
What is a fair contribution?
The integrity of the pledging decision is a personal one that we all have to make in the context of our own financial ability and commitment. It's not easy to know the right amount to give and it is common for congregation members to seek a benchmark that will provide them with some guidance on how much to pledge.
To help meet this need, we have adopted the UUA Stewardship Guidelines. This guide can help you determine a level of giving that's appropriate for your situation and based on your vision of our church and its programs.
Recognizing individual circumstances, these guidelines affirm the simple notion that our vision for First Unitarian Society is funded by a range of contributions.
To use the guide, determine your adjusted gross income from your income tax return. Adjust that number up for non-taxable items, or down for special circumstances. Then select the level of support that is right for you.
